Polyester fabrics for industrial filters

Technofabric: Custom production of Polyester fabrics

Custom production of Polyester fabrics for industrial filters

Polyester is a synthetic material that is mainly used in the textile industry. It is a polymer derived from recycled and waste materials or from bacterial fermentation. The main characteristics of this material are strength, elasticity and water repellency.

Polyester is produced industrially through a chemical process called polymerization, which involves the reaction between a dicarboxylic acid and a diol. The most common type of polyester is polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which is made by the reaction between terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol. PET is initially extracted from oil and then processed into small granules. These are melted and pressed inside very fine holes to form filaments that are then spun to form fiber.

Polyester has many uses depending on its structure and processing. It can be used to make fibers, films, bottles, membranes, paints and other products. Polyester can also be combined with other materials, such as polyurethane or glass fibers, to achieve specific properties or effects.

Some technical characteristics of Polyester fabrics for industrial filters are:

Polyester fabrics are synthetic polymers derived from the polycondensation of a carboxylic acid and an alcohol, and are the most common name for polyethylene terephthalate (PET).

These fibers have excellent toughness and resilience, high resistance to abrasion, creasing and heat, high modulus of elasticity, low moisture regain and good resistance to chemical and physical agents.

These fabrics are often combined with other natural, artificial or synthetic materials, such as polyurethane or carbon spiral anti-static yarns, to obtain specific properties or effects.

Polyester are used for industrial filters that require high tensile strength, resistance to cutting and wear, flexibility and dimensional stability. They are suitable for filtering air, liquids, gases, vapours, dust, smoke, fumes, and solids.

Some of the industrial sectors that use polyester fabric filters are food, metalworking, textile, printing, packaging, logistics, water treatment, pharmaceutical, chemical, mining, metallurgical, oil, petrochemical, naval, lighting, automotive, earth moving, alternative energy.

Technofabric S.p.A. is a textile company specialized in the production of a wide range of fabrics for industrial and technical applications. Our strength is vertical integration, which means that we have control over the entire production process, from yarn production to the creation of finished fabrics. This allows us to maintain high quality standards and provide customized solutions to our customers.

Technofabric works with various types of yarn, including aramid, nylon, high tenacity polyester, carbon, and cotton. Each type of yarn has its own unique properties and applications, and Technofabric exploits these materials to create fabrics with specific characteristics and performance. Technofabric's expertise lies in turning ideas into functional, high-performance fabrics. We have the ability to develop tailor-made fabrics to meet customers' particular needs, whether it be durability, strength, flexibility or otherwise.

In addition to their technical capabilities, Technofabric prioritises the value it provides the customer. We are committed to understanding their needs and goals, and then creating fabrics that not only meet those requirements but also exceed expectations in terms of quality, performance, and reliability.
